Support the "Tulane Students Helping Others" disaster relief fundraising campaign, now through November 9th.
WaveCorps is a summer service program funded in part by the Corporation for National and Community Service and AmeriCorps*VISTA. Volunteers participating in WaveCorps support organizations in New Orleans that are preventing summer learning loss in K-12 students through entertaining camps that bridge the time between the school year. In past years, students have worked with A's and Aces and Upward Bound summer programs.
Participants will receive a living stipend of $1750 (for the 8 weeks), an end-of-service education grant of $1000 (which can be applied to your Tulane tuition), as well as training and professional development from Tulane. The program runs during June and July each summer, including training and orientation sessions. If students would like to add a public service internship to their WaveCorps experience, they need to complete additional hours of service at the end of the program as well as take part in a weekly seminar at Tulane. Please inquire for further information and registration details regarding the internship option.
Tulane WaveCorps applications are due April 15, 2018.
