Community-Based Participatory Research

The purpose of CPS’ CBPR program is to bridge academia with community and work towards genuine solutions by building capacity to ensure the New Orleans community (including Tulane students) understand history, define needs, develop skills, co-develop solutions, vet processes, and utilize resources to build partnerships and improve the health and wellness of our community. Through this program, CPS furthers principles of inclusion and equity to promote empowerment, understanding, civility and justice. CPS is requesting proposals from CPS Community Partners who are interested in engaging in this type of research with Tulane faculty members with an up to $10,000 award over an 18-month or longer time period. Preference may be given to community-driven, asset-based, problem-solving approaches used in the proposals. Please contact Emily Riemer at eriemer@tulane.edu with any questions.
