While COVID-19 has forced us to adapt to new surroundings and circumstances, this pandemic will never break are our commitment to community. The #TUEngageAtHome highlights Tulanians, both in New Orleans and their hometowns, engaging with their neighbors and caring for their communities.

Please use #TUEngageAtHome and tag @tulanecps, @tulaneu, and @tulanealumni in your posts, so we can repost and share these inspirational stories with the Tulane Family. Your photo may also be included in Alumni Affairs Share Your Story campaign. Activities may include what students are doing for a service-learning courses or public service internship or just random acts of kindness by the Tulane Family, such as:

  • Recording yourself reading a book for a virtual story hour,
  • Videochatting with isolated friends and family,
  • Buying groceries for or checking on an older neighbor,
  • Supporting local restaurants by purchasing takeout,
  • Writing your member of congress to support advocacy issues
  • Sending words of love and encouragement (or videos) to people in nursing homes or retirement communities
  • Donating to an organization helping the most vulnerable groups
  • Volunteering with Covid-19lavolunteers.org

Photos should show people and activities adhering to current CDC guidelines (i.e., standing 6 feet apart, groups no larger than 10 people).  If your account is not public and you would still like to be posted on our account, please direct message us here at @tulanecps.
